The Human Resources Department provides assistance and guidance to all City departments in the areas of labor relations, employee benefits administration, workers’ compensation, and discipline and grievance procedures.
In addition, the Human Resources Department handles employee recruitment, testing and selection for all City Departments in order to hire and retain a skilled and qualified team of employees. When job openings occur, or when it is necessary to create an eligibility list, the Human Resources Department will advertise for a position and accept job applications. Employees are selected through a competitive testing and interview process.
