Land Use Development

Land Use Development is made up of 3 departments:

Planning * Engineering * Building

Land Use services include those operations related to land development, including project plan review, grading, parcel maps, building inspections, etc. City staff is available to answer questions on any project being considered, including conceptual designs, etc.

We are a business friendly community, and are committed to working with applicants on projects, on site or via a teleconference. We strive for streamlined permit processing, and rapid project completion.

The City Planner will serve as your single point of contact proceeding through the development process, from application submittal to certificate of occupancy.

How the Needles permit process flows:

PROCESS MATRIX – Conditional Use, Special Use Permit, Parcel Map, Variance, Re-Zone & General Plan Amendment.

PROCESS MATRIX – Zoning Permit, Lot Line Adjustments / Mergers, Engineering, Building.
